10:00am- Container Gardening with Heather: Potted Possibilities Our award winning designer, Heather Schamber is back with more fantastic ideas and container building basics that will inspire you for creating the perfect pots for your
landscape.
10:00am- Spring Pruning with Jacquie: Pinch, Pick & Prune Your Way to a Glorious Spring! Alden Lane owner, Jacquie Williams-Courtright will show you how to pinch, pick, and prune your spring flowering trees and shrubs so they will show you the best blooms ever!
11:00am Veggie Gardening: Tomatoes and Beyond! Our "Veggie Evangelist" is back! Ginger from Suncatcher Harvest is a very popular speaker and her veggie knowledge is astounding. She will give you her top picks in vegetables and teach you how to make your garden harvest a celebration of flavor.
11:00am Square Foot Orchard: What a Concept! You will never look at your backyard the same way again. Jeff Oase will explain high density planting and successive ripening. Imagine four trees instead of one means 10-12 weeks of fruit instead of two or three!
1:30pm- What's Buggin' You: Annie Joseph with Our Water Our World sponsored by Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program is an expert in Organic Pest Control. Annie has a great program that will put you on the right track for a bountiful garden using earth friendly pest control measures.
1:30pm Everything Citrus: Get all your questions answered about growing these amazing fruits. Aaron Dillion of Four Wind Growers has a wealth of information that will help you have the best- and tastiest- crop ever.
2:30pm-Herbs and Infusions:
Nothing is more satisfying than picking your own herbs from the garden. Dee Syler will present a practical guide to which herbs to plant and where. She will explain their uses and demonstrate how to make healthful infusions.
2:30pm-Houseplant Selection and Care Interior Landscaping expert David Tomassini and his wife Alice of Commercial Plant Services will share with us a wealth of knowledge about excellent plant choices for your home and office, and how to keep those plants thriving in your environment. From light, watering, potting, feeding, dividing and more, don't miss this opportunity to get all your houseplant questions answered by the experts!
2:30pm Terrariums: Enchanted Gardens in Glass! Terrariums are easy to make and maintain in a home or office. Sue Fordyce will instruct you in the creative process that will result in a fabulous miniature garden of all your own to take home. A $35 plus tax materials fee includes a beautiful glass jar and all the supplies to make your terrarium.
