Roses arrive at Alden Lane Each December and January.  By summer we have typically sold way down on many varieties. Lists and photos here should be considered a guide.  2014 roses will arrive beginning in late December through January.

Look What's NEW For The 2014 Rose Season

New from Weeks Nursery
  • Good as Gold is a very rich Hybrid tea with large buds of deep golden orange-yellow that finishes with a kiss of red. The wonderful grapefruit and citrus fragrance is sure to please. Available as a bush or tree form.
  • Jump for Joy has large showy clusters of ruffled peachy-pink flowers that cover this well rounded floribunda rose with glossy green leaves and consistent dark red new growth throughout the season. Available as a bush, patio tree and standard tree.
  • You're the One is a new miniaturized hybrid tea with perfect buds of cream blushing several shades of pink. This medium rounded bush is perfect for containers, borders or tucking into small spaces.

  • Always and Forever is a classic velvety ruby red with long stemmed elegance. Bella Roma with a wonderfully intoxicating fragrance, is a hybrid tea, of yellow tinged with pink flowers.
  • Henry Fonda is a deep yellow hybrid tea with remarkable vigor and disease resistance.
  • Sedona, a very warm coral blend, is a hybrid tea, with stunning 5" blooms and a strong pear fragrance. And let's not forget about
  • Tuscan Sun with bronzed buds which open to a coppery apricot flower on this very prolific blooming floribunda . . . a small growing bush which makes it excellent for small spaces and containers.
New From Star Roses
  • Fired Up is disease resistant floribunda with a unique and striking color, bright yellow and orange striped flowers that don't fade in the heat; its dark rich glossy green foliage makes a striking display in the garden.
  • Bougain Feel Ya - This medium growing bush has the look of a bougainvillea (without the cold sensitivity) and blooms a glorious red continuously throughout the season with good disease resistance.
  • Eyeconic Lychee Lemonade is s new eyeconic to the line up (if you missed them last year you must check them out this season...STUNNING!). This one is a semi-double ivory cream flower with a dark burgundy eye.
New From David Austin
  • Boscobel has beautifully formed rosettes of rich salmon/hot pink flowers with a strong myrrh, elderflower and pear fragrance; a low grower at only 3'.
  • The flowers of Tranquillity have a beautifully rounded shape with white flowers lightly tinged with yellow and a light apple fragrance. This rose has excellent vigor and is very healthy; upward growth to 5' and nearly THORNLESS!
  • Heathcliff is a large fully double crimson flowers and an old rose and cedar wood fragrance; foliage has deep green leaves with upright growth to 4'
In our climbing category we have added a few oldies but new to Alden Lane Nursery
  • Rosanna is a large flowered climber with very robust and floriferous clusters of nostalgic salmon pink blooms; very good disease resistance and vigorous growth.
  • The Pilgrim from David Austin, is a soft yellow climber, very suitable as a tall bush or small climber.
