60th Anniversary Week at Alden Lane

Jacquie cut cake on Thursday, May 14th, 2015, marking the 60th anniversary of Alden Lane Nursery

This Month we enter our 7th decade of service to the Tri-Valley community!

Thursday, May 14th was our official Anniversary. We celebrated well and enjoyed seeing many who came to join us from far and near… We thank you so much for supporting us and helping us remain in the community for 60 years.

A special dinner program ensued Friday night with a wonderful collection of long standing customers, current and former employees, local garden club members, nursery industry personalities and community representatives and a marvelous meal prepared by executive chef, Joe Rodriguez and the staff of Valley Catering.  Mayor Marchand presented Jacquie with a wonderful proclamation from the City of Livermore, recognizing the many contributions Alden Lane has made to the community. It was such an honor.

On Saturday and Sunday many of our community partners joined us here to celebrate with this special anniversary, including the following:

  • Lindsay Museum was here with 2 live ambassadors
  • European Model Trains were running on the deck of the garden store both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Livermore Amador Valley Quilters
  • Daffodil Society
  • Iris Society
  • Livermore Amador Valley Garden Club
  • Mt. Diablo Rose Society
  • Livermore Art Association

All week long we had displays of memorabilia and photos from long ago as well as not so long ago.

Please leave a comment or memory below so we can stretch the celebration and stroll down Alden (memory) Lane together.
